Liverpool Football Club has postponed the return of some players to pre-season training from Friday to Monday due to the death of forward Diogo Jota. The 28-year-old died in a car crash along with his brother andre Silva, aged 25. Jota was returning to Liverpool for pre-season and had chosen to drive instead of fly, following minor surgery. He had recently celebrated his marriage to Rute Cardoso, with whom he had three children, just 11 days prior to his tragic accident. The team’s first pre-season match is against Preston North End on July 13.
