Al-Hilal has announced the departure of their head coach, Jorge Jesus, after a loss to Al-Ahli in the Champions League. With five matches remaining in the Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal sits second in the table, six points behind the leaders. Jesus, who returned to the club in July 2023, has had a successful run, winning the Saudi Pro League and Kings Cup, with a notable 77.1% win rate during his second tenure. Following this exit, Mohammed Al-Shalhoub has been appointed as his successor.
Jesus had a brief spell with Al-Hilal during the 2018-19 season, winning 15 of his 20 matches in charge across all competitions.
Al-Hilal and Jesus agree to terminate the contractual relationship. The Board has decided to appoint coach Mohammed Al-Shalhoub to lead the first team.
