Donald Trump's speech at Israeli parliament interrupted as legislators call him "terrorist" - LGBTQ Nation
"Left-wing politicians briefly silenced President Donald Trump's speech in Israel's parliament (the Knesset) on Monday by calling him a "terrorist" as he spoke about the release of Israeli hostages by Hamas militants in Gaza. After their protest, the politicians were led out of the legislative chamber by Knesset security. The politicians who heckled Trump were Arab-Israeli Aymen Odeh and Ofer Cassif, both of whom are members of the Hadash coalition, a left-wingpolitical coalition formed by the Communist Party of Israel, The Jerusalem Post reported."
"The two politicians held signs that said "genocide" and "recognize Palestine" while Trump spoke. In social media posts, Odeh said that recognition of a Palestinian state is "the simplest demand, a demand that the entire international community agrees on," and Cassif wrote that the protest was "to demand justice" after the Israeli government's occupation of and apartheid against Palestinians, The Hill reported."
""That was very efficient," Trump said as the politicians were ejected from parliament. Neither Trump nor Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recognized Palestine as an independent state. Trump has indicated his interest in establishing a Trump-themed beachfront resort in Gaza, following Israel's ongoing attacks on Palestine's citizens and infrastructure."
