Briefly

Josephine Hardin, a third-year associate from Huff Powell Bailey, was reported as missing and presumed dead due to flooding in Texas. The 2023 Emory Law graduate was visiting family during the Fourth of July when the tragedy occurred. Her father William survived the disaster. The firm described her as a beloved and vibrant member of their team. Managing partner Taylor Tribble expressed sorrow over the loss, describing Hardin as engaging, intuitive, and a natural trial lawyer, emphasizing the significant impact she made during her short career.
Huff Powell Bailey, an 80-lawyer firm specializing in medical defense, first reported Hardin's death Thursday in a social media post. Tribble said she had been in close contact with the victim's aunt for updates about the search for Hardin.
Josephine was a beloved member of our firm. She was smart and beautifully quirky. She made us laugh out loud, come together, and think deeply about the needs of others.
Tribble praised Hardin in an interview with the Daily Report, calling her engaging, intuitive and hard-working and irreverent and vibrant.
She really has left a lasting impact. We really did lose a bright star in all respects.
