"The Wednesday lawsuit filed against defendants Leo's SF LLC and Does 1 through 100 alleges that former employee Zindy Adali Soc Rodas, who worked at Leo's from November 2021 to August 2024, did not receive overtime pay for working off-the-clock hours three times per week beginning in November 2023. Around that same time, Weinberg allegedly directed Rodas to clock in at 2 p.m. instead of 11 a.m. when Rodas started her shift, according to the lawsuit that was filed at the Superior Court of California for San Francisco County."
"Attorneys for Rodas added that Leo's Oyster Bar further falsified time records by adjusting the computerized timekeeping system to reduce hours and "avoid paying proper wages and overtime compensation." Late wage payments were a habitual practice at Leo's Oyster Bar, as most checks were delayed by a week or two while Weinberg "made excuses about bank funds being unavailable," the lawsuit continued. Around November 2023, Leo's allegedly abandoned its payroll system altogether as staff were paid with personal checks from Weinberg."
Zindy Adali Soc Rodas worked at Leo's Oyster Bar from November 2021 to August 2024 and filed a lawsuit against Leo's SF LLC and Does 1–100. The complaint alleges unpaid overtime for off-the-clock work three times weekly beginning November 2023 and that owner Anna Weinberg directed Rodas to clock in later than her actual start time. Attorneys claim computerized time records were altered to reduce logged hours and avoid proper wages and overtime. The complaint alleges habitual late wage payments, delayed checks with excuses about bank funds, and that payroll was abandoned around November 2023 when staff were paid with Weinberg's personal checks. Prior legal and eviction disputes involving Weinberg and related properties are noted.
