Juan Amado Delgado, 36, from Marina, was found guilty of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger. On December 4, police responded to a Salinas dental office where Delgado was sitting outside with a large metal pipe and refused to leave. During police contact, Delgado disclosed he had a knife. Officers discovered a concealed 7-inch fixed-blade knife with a nearly 4-inch blade hidden in his boot. Judge Pamela Butler found multiple aggravating factors, including that Delgado was on probation at the time and had served a prior prison term. He faces a maximum sentence of three years, with sentencing scheduled for March 25.
