"Boutique finance law firm McLaughlin & Stern announced Monday that it is expanding westward with the acquisition of the lawyers and staff of San Francisco-based firm Dillingham & Murphy. With the expansion, McLaughlin & Stern, which has been operating in New York since 1898, will add the San Francisco location to its list of satellite offices in upstate New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Florida and Connecticut."

McLaughlin & Stern is expanding westward by acquiring the lawyers and staff of San Francisco-based Dillingham & Murphy and adding a San Francisco office. The New York-based boutique finance firm, operating since 1898, will add the San Francisco location to its satellite offices in upstate New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Florida and Connecticut. Dillingham & Murphy will contribute employment and litigation practice expertise. Partner Bill Murphy will join with courtroom and counsel experience alongside partners Carla Hartley, Dennis Kelly and Tyrrell Prosser, whose practice focuses on commercial leasing. Associate attorneys William P. Fuller, Adrienne Ou and Matt Wu will also move to McLaughlin & Stern. Managing partner Geoffrey Handler praised their litigation reputation and San Francisco roots as a natural fit. The firm recently added a trust and real estate practice to its New York City office, which employs about 100 attorneys at 260 Madison Ave, and it has no immediate further expansion plans.
