Judge describes Donegal woman as 'a real asset to Mayo solicitors' as she is welcomed to court in Castlebar
Nikita McGrath, from Fahan in Donegal, started employment with Bambury & Company Solicitors in Castlebar after qualifying as a solicitor in April 2025. She studied law at Atlantic Technological University and completed professional training beginning January 2023 in Blackhall Place. She trained with Patrick J Sweeney Solicitors in Letterkenny and focuses on personal injury, medical negligence, and criminal law. At her first Castlebar District Court sitting, representatives from the Mayo Solicitors Bar Association and Mayo barristers welcomed her. Judge Vincent Deane praised the welcome given by Donegal and Letterkenny to visiting lawyers and said there is a lack of solicitors practising in local courts, calling her arrival an “absolute joy.”
