"The deal marks Filevine's second major AI acquisition of 2025, following its April acquisition of Parrot, a platform for transcribing, scheduling and managing depositions, and its fourth acquisition ever. The deal also strengthens Filevine's stated strategy to become an AI-first operating system, by building, acquiring and evolving AI technologies. Although the companies have not yet formally announced the acquisition, sources within Filevine tell me that the all-cash deal closed last Thursday, Dec. 18."
"The acquisition brings aboard Pincites' sister co-founders Sona Sulakian and Mariam Sulakian, along with their team of approximately four employees. Both founders will continue with Filevine post-acquisition, with the company planning to establish a new San Francisco office anchored by the Pincites team. They will join a team of some 700 Filevine employees, led by cofounder and CEO Ryan Anderson."
Filevine acquired Pincites, an AI-powered contract redlining company, in an all-cash deal that closed Dec. 18. The acquisition expands Filevine's capabilities into corporate and transactional law, complementing its litigation-focused offerings and contract lifecycle technology from the 2021 Outlaw purchase. Pincites' co-founders Sona and Mariam Sulakian and a team of about four employees will join Filevine and help establish a new San Francisco office. The deal follows Filevine's April acquisition of Parrot and recent fundraising that raised $400 million, bringing total capital to over $626 million and strengthening an AI-first operating system strategy.
