Cork court gives suspended sentence to man who pushed and punched partner feeding young child
"Inspector Tony O'Sullivan told the court that the woman recounted she was feeding the couple's young child when an argument broke out. The woman said the man pushed her and punched her in the side of the head. The woman then took a phone call, before the man threatened her, telling her "you better hang up that phone if you know what's good for you." He threatened to kick my teeth into the back of my head, said Sgt O'Sullivan, recounting the evidence from the woman, who was present in court."

Pleading guilty through his solicitor, David O'Meara, the court heard the accused had 16 previous convictions, including a previous assault on the same partner. "He now lives with his parents," said Mr O'Meara, who explained his client was participating in drug addiction treatment and has complied with all orders, as well as complying with the probation service."
