An Indiana bankruptcy lawyer, Mark S. Zuckerberg, sued Meta after repeated Facebook account suspensions that Meta allegedly attributed to "impersonating a celebrity" and not using an "authentic name." Meta reportedly disabled his pages nine times over eight years, including five commercial and four personal suspensions. The company allegedly continued accepting advertising payments and kept about $11,000 spent promoting his law firm. Meta allegedly required scans of a driver's license and credit card and videos showing his face, and sometimes took four to six months to reinstate accounts. The lawyer says the suspensions caused a competitive disadvantage for his practice.
