A Spirit Airlines passenger called in a bomb hoax on a flight he'd just missed to try to delay it taking off, affidavit says
"After missing his Spirit Airlines flight, John Charles Robinson called in a bomb threat as an attempt to delay the departure in hopes of boarding."
"Robinson's bomb threat prompted a full security response, causing a six-hour delay for Flight 2145 after passengers were evacuated and screened."
John Charles Robinson, 23, was arrested for making a bomb threat after missing Spirit Airlines Flight 2145 from Detroit to Los Angeles. A call was made warning that a bomb would be on board, which resulted in the plane being evacuated and searched by law enforcement, causing a significant delay. Robinson was traced as the caller and had previously been told he missed the flight, leading to his rebooking on a later flight. Upon arrival at the airport for his new flight, he was confronted by law enforcement regarding the bomb threat.
