Man who raped young men and deliberately gave them HIV jailed for life
"The youngest victim said he learned he was HIV positive as he got off the school bus, changing his life in an instant. Another victim stated he had been left the shell of who I was."
"Hall was described by a police officer as always arrogant and dismissive, targeting younger, sexually inexperienced men he met in bars or on Grindr."
"Det Ch Insp Emma Smith stated, 'He's shown absolutely no remorse. He's never apologised for his behaviour.' Hall provided a prepared statement and then no comment answers during interviews."
"Judge Edward Bindloss noted Hall's refusal to appear in court for sentencing was 'entirely in keeping with the indifference you've shown to the suffering of others.'"
Adam Hall, 43, was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping and intentionally infecting seven young men with HIV. He is the second person in the UK convicted of such actions. The victims included a 15-year-old and others in their late teens and early 20s. Hall targeted vulnerable individuals through bars and dating apps. He showed no remorse during the trial and refused to attend his sentencing. Authorities believe there may be more victims and are urging them to come forward.
