Looking for answers to 'case closed' following troubling events at a girls' football match in Cavan

"Carnage is (sic) Cavan Ladies U-12 last night. Kingscourt played Mullahoran last night and Kingscourt played a boy (who thinks he is a girl Sarah). Won the game on his/her own, chaos ensued. Referee had to go and get guidance on it mid game and no one could clarify what should be done. World gone mad!!"

On a Friday in August a WhatsApp message began spreading in Cavan GAA circles describing troubling events at a girls' U-12 football match. The message stated that in a match between Kingscourt and Mullahoran Kingscourt fielded a boy who identifies as a girl, named Sarah, who reportedly influenced the outcome and created chaos. The referee paused to seek guidance mid-game and officials could not clarify how to proceed. A Kingscourt parent contends that LGFA and GAA children-first and gender policies are not fit for purpose in such situations.
