KATSEYE star was 'definitely scared' to come out as bisexual
"I could not be more grateful for the response that we've both gotten from everyone, from the eyecons, from the internet. I was definitely scared, especially like what you said, in the industry, you don't really see it as often, but everyone was so so loving and I couldn't be more grateful and thankful for every one of you guys."
"The response has been so heartwarming and welcoming. I just felt so loved the second that I decided to come out as bisexual."
"I'm coming out - I'm bisexual"
Megan of KATSEYE publicly came out as bisexual on a Weverse livestream in June, becoming the second group member to come out after Lara. Megan previously told friends and family about her sexuality at age 14. KATSEYE members attended the Teen Vogue Summit in Los Angeles and reflected on their journey. Megan reported heartwarming, welcoming reactions from LGBTQ+ fans and felt loved and grateful despite initial fear about visibility within the industry. Stonewall defines bisexuality as an umbrella term for romantic and/or sexual attraction to more than one gender. Lara accepted an award and spoke about courage in coming out.
