Vision Cathedral of Atlanta began two decades ago in a living room and now fills a large sanctuary each Sunday with diverse worshippers. The congregation blends exuberant, participatory Pentecostal worship—clapping, singing, dancing, tambourines, hugs—with a visible commitment to LGBTQ inclusion. The church purchased and renovated the former Confederate Avenue Baptist Church in 2010 and serves as a prominent affirming faith institution in the South. Services draw longtime parishioners and newcomers across generations and races, and the church functions as both spiritual home and civic hub amid escalating political attacks on queer and trans people.
