Browne highlighted controversial videos of Patel celebrating with the team in the locker room, drinking beer and partying with players. He also referenced the team's acceptance of a presidential phone call inviting them to the State of the Union address, during which they laughed at a joke made at the women's team's expense. Critics pointed out the hypocrisy of GOP claims about protecting women's sports while showing little genuine support for female athletes.
