Thomas Rosengren, a sixth-grade teacher and theater educator, resigned from his position after a right-wing publication contacted his school district regarding his participation in an erotic performance at the 2019 'Mr. Minneapolis Eagle' gay leather pageant. Photos from the event depicted Rosengren in various states of undress and engaging in suggestive performances. Following the inquiry, he withdrew from consideration for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year award and subsequently left the school district.
