Milroy's of Soho released For the Dolls, a 13-year-old single malt distilled in 2012, with 100% of profits donated to trans charity Not A Phase. The bottling, priced at £55 and available 19 November, aims to raise funds and highlight challenges facing transgender people after a UK Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act's definition of a woman as 'biological sex'. Freelance whisky writer Kristiane Westray collaborated with the bottler to support the trans+ community and to challenge traditional, exclusionary perceptions within the scotch industry. Tasting notes include pear, blackberry, lemon strudel, rhubarb and custard, lemon meringue, orange oil, green apple, pecan and dried floral.
