Cardi defended her relationship with her glam team, calling them her dolls and saying she does not care if others feel uncomfortable. Tokyo Stylez said Drag Race inspired her makeup during her transition and continues to influence looks that blend drag culture with mainstream hip-hop. Contestants and social media users thanked Cardi for elevating trans women of color.
