Season 9 of 9-1-1 is set to begin filming soon, generating excitement among fans eager to see how the show will address the aftermath of Captain Bobby Nash's controversial death. Actor Bryan Safi, who plays dispatcher Josh Russo, discussed Josh's personal life, stating that he longs for more social interactions and experiences some darker moments when drinking. Safi highlighted Josh's self-awareness and confidence, noting a meaningful monologue about Glee that reflects Josh's journey.
Josh has spent a little too much time by himself. I think even you have picked up on that... when Josh drinks that maybe he gets a little dark and a little whiny.
I would like to see him have more of a social life, and maybe someone calming down his neuroses.
He does seem to be very in touch with himself and where he comes from, and confident about who he is.
That gorgeous monologue about Glee really spoke to what Josh has been through and where he is now, and it made me really proud to deliver that.
