Gene Simmons sold his Beverly Hills mansion for $28 million after purchasing it for $10.5 million in 2021. The decision followed issues with heat in Nevada. The couple now resides in a Malibu beach house. Simmons imposed strict buyer criteria, emphasizing that he did not want anyone who might damage the property. The mansion boasts luxury features, including a 40-foot infinity pool and artistic landscaping, designed by Swiss architect Roger P. Kurath with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
Simmons stated, "You have such wonderful times there, you don't want some schmuck in the place you call home. No drugs, no alcoholics. I don't want anybody coming in there who is going to destroy the place."
The pricey property includes a "40-foot glass-like infinity pool, dramatic drought-tolerant landscaping, and bold bronze geometric sculptures that offer a distinct artistic statement."
Designed by Swiss architect Roger P. Kurath, the property features elements of glass, steel, oak wood, and concrete to emphasize sweeping views of the mountains, valleys, and ocean.
Simmons revealed that the views were what drew him to the property in the first place.
