John Aaroe, 74, died peacefully at his Rancho Mirage home after battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He became a leading Los Angeles luxury real estate broker with celebrity clients including Lionel Richie, Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross, Cher and Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Aaroe achieved notable sales success at Jon Douglas Company before co-founding John Aaroe & Associates in 1994, earning the highest agent sales per agent by 1999. He later founded John Aaroe Group. Friends and former colleagues remember him for charismatic presence, leadership and mentorship that shaped many top agents and raised luxury-market standards.
