"It breaks our hearts to sell it, but we aren't using it enough. When we have time off, we'll probably still go up to Bear Valley, but we won't buy again, because you can't be in too many places at once at this stage of life. And when we go to Bear Valley, we won't need seven bedrooms and seven baths."
"Jeff has a thousand-acre ranch in Montana where he goes with his family when he has time off, and [actor and son] Beau bought a place in Kauai last year. He goes there with his family whenever he has time off. My husband is busy too. So we don't have a lot of time off, either."
"The 5,500-square-foot, four-level house, built in 1978, also has three decks, a sauna and an outdoor spa. It's really like two homes in one. The ground level is a guest quarters with a kitchen and a laundry room."
Lloyd Bridges, 83, and his wife Dorothy are listing their Bear Valley ski resort home for $1.8 million, including furnishings. The couple decided to sell because they don't use the property enough, given their busy schedules and other residences in Malibu and West Los Angeles. Their son Jeff owns a thousand-acre Montana ranch, and son Beau purchased a Kauai property. Lloyd continues working on projects including the CBS movie "Pen Pals," narrating classical music performances in New York and London. The 5,500-square-foot house, built in 1978, features seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three decks, a sauna, outdoor spa, and guest quarters. The couple designed and built the home to accommodate their three children and eleven grandchildren.
