Flau'jae Johnson has decided to return to LSU for her senior season, dispelling rumors about entering the transfer portal or jumping to the WNBA. Although she teased a possible transfer earlier, she committed instead to participating in a spring tour with rapper BossMan Dlow. Johnson prioritizes her development for the WNBA, expressing a desire to win while preparing herself for future opportunities. Last season, she achieved a career-high of 18.6 points per game and played a pivotal role in leading her team to the Elite Eight.
"I definitely want to win, but I want to make sure I'm being developed to be the player that I want to be in the WNBA," she said.
Johnson averaged a career-high 18.6 points last season for the Tigers, who advanced to the Elite Eight of the women's NCAA tournament before falling to UCLA.
