"Reddick's win from the pole made him the first to win five of the first nine races since Earnhardt in the 1987 season."
"Larson, the defending race winner, said he thought he 'could cruise right' but faced unexpected challenges in the final laps."
Tyler Reddick won his fifth NASCAR Cup Series race of the season at Kansas Speedway, becoming the first driver since Dale Earnhardt in 1987 to achieve this milestone. Reddick passed Kyle Larson on the final lap of overtime, with Chase Briscoe finishing third and Denny Hamlin fourth. The race was mostly caution-free until a late spin by Cody Ware. Reddick's victory from the pole position solidified his dominance early in the season, as he continues to impress team co-owner Michael Jordan.
