London Pulse achieved a significant 58-48 victory against Manchester Thunder, reaffirming their position at the top of the Netball Super League. Despite a challenging second quarter where they lost focus, Pulse led the match from the start, ending the first quarter at 17-10. Olivia Tchine's outstanding performance, scoring 27 goals, was pivotal as they maintained a narrow lead through the third quarter. This win places Pulse two points ahead of Loughborough Lightning, who also secured a win against their opponents earlier, ensuring a competitive race towards the playoffs and securing positions for the semi-finals.
"The second quarter, in particular, was a bit disappointing," said London Pulse head coach Sam Bird. "We just took our foot off the pedal a little bit."
Olivia Tchine scored a game-high 27 goals for Pulse, while Elmere van der Berg scored 23 for the Thunder, who remain third with one round of fixtures to go before the play-offs.
