Andrei Kuzmenko has signed a 1-year, $4.3 million contract with the Los Angeles Kings, hoping to regain his form after a challenging stint in the NHL. After an impressive rookie season with 39 goals and 74 points, Kuzmenko struggled for consistent roles, playing for four teams in three years. His production, while below rookie levels, remained decent with 35+ points, but issues fitting into systems led to trades. His recent performance with the Kings shows he can excel given sufficient ice time, averaging 0.81 points per game when he plays more than 15 minutes.
Kuzmenko has played for four different teams in three seasons, finding success in producing offense when averaging 15 minutes or more of ice time per game.
Despite his struggles with consistency post-rookie year, Kuzmenko showed flashes of his talent with 17 points in 22 games for the Kings.
