Tommy Edman explains approach being out of lineup before Dodgers walk-off hit
Briefly

Tommy Edman, who did not start against the Miami Marlins, made a significant impact by hitting a walk-off, two-run single, marking his sixth career walk-off hit and first as a Dodger. His journey to that moment included overcoming a slump, having been hitless in five of seven games. Manager Dave Roberts expressed the desire to rest Edman, yet acknowledged his timely addition during the game maximized the team's chance of winning. Edman attributed his success to staying focused and preparing for any situation while on the bench.
It was a little different. In the beginning part of the day I did some more recovery stuff and not as much baseball. Then once the game started I kind of started to take some swings and get ready for whatever situation might arise.
It feels good to get that walk-off in front of the home crowd. Just being able to put a good swing on that one, get the ball off the ground a little bit, it helps out with confidence.
