Japanese musician YOSHIKI teamed up with Roki Sasaki and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, alongside the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, to provide aid for wildfire relief in the U.S. and Japan. Autographed sheet music of national anthems performed by YOSHIKI will be auctioned to raise funds through April 28. Sasaki, from Ofunato, contributed significantly to the cause due to personal losses in past natural disasters. YOSHIKI has a history of supporting relief efforts, having donated over $500,000 previously. This collaboration highlights the dedication of these artists to humanitarian efforts.
YOSHIKI stated, "It was an honor to talk with Ohtani and Yamamoto, who also live in L.A. I received signed uniforms from the two of them."
Sasaki, who lost family in the Great East Japan earthquake, contributed 10 million yen in cash and 5 million yen in supplies to the relief effort.
