The Los Angeles Dodgers bolstered their bullpen by claiming J.P. Feyereisen from the Diamondbacks and trading for Ryan Loutos from the Cardinals. To make room on the 40-man roster, they transferred injured pitchers Michael Kopech and Blake Treinen to the 60-day injured list. Feyereisen, who previously spent the 2024 season with the Dodgers, struggled last year with a high ERA. Loutos, a recent call-up, adds depth after debuting with St. Louis last season.
Feyereisen didn't pitch at all during the 2023 season but was included on the Dodgers' Opening Day roster for the Seoul Series.
Both Kopech and Treinen were transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room for the newly acquired pitchers.
Loutos also had his MLB debut with the Cardinals last season and pitched 2.1 scoreless innings over three appearances.
Overall in 2024, Feyereisen went 0-1 with an 8.18 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 10 appearances.
