Gavin Stone Resumes Throwing With No Symptoms & Now 'Pain-Free'
"The last I read a couple days ago, he's had no symptoms. He's pain-free. He is throwing. I don't know the distance or when he's going to be off the mound, though."
"I would say he's pre-Spring Training, or right at the beginning, because guys nowadays are a little further along than when Orel (Hershiser) was pitching."
"Given the timeline, a return sometime in May could be feasible, as long as the right-hander faces no more setbacks and his build-up goes smoothly."
Gavin Stone reported to Spring Training for the Los Angeles Dodgers but suffered a setback that required him to be shut down. He previously missed the entire 2025 season due to shoulder surgery. Fortunately, his shoulder showed no structural damage and only needed rest. Stone has resumed throwing and is progressing well. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted that Stone is pain-free and throwing, but he still has a lengthy process ahead before pitching in games. A return in May is possible if he continues to progress without setbacks.
