Dodgers' Tommy Edman Provides Injury Update
"Tommy Edman reveals his recovery following his recent offseason ankle surgery is going well & he hopes he's 100% for next season:"I'm going to be in a boot for a couple more weeks and then keep moving around Christmas time." pic.twitter.com/7xr7l2vEW9 - Dodgers Nation (@DodgersNation) December 6, 2025"
""It's going well," Edman told Dodgers Nation. "It's just kind of recovering a day at a time, slowly but surely. I'm going to be in a boot for a couple more weeks and then keep moving around Christmas time and hopefully be 100 percent for next year.""
"Despite his injury, Edman still contributed to the Dodgers' postseason run, playing every game but one for LA. Through his 16 games, Edman homered twice, scoring five runs and driving in eight."
Tommy Edman underwent offseason ankle surgery after suffering an ankle sprain in April and additional time on the injured list in August. He returned to the lineup in September but battled the injury through the remainder of the regular season and postseason, which limited him to playing second base rather than center field. Edman reported steady recovery, expecting to remain in a boot for a couple more weeks and to begin moving around by Christmas with the goal of being 100 percent for next year. He played 16 postseason games, hit two homers, scored five runs and drove in eight. In 2025 he posted a career-low .656 OPS but matched a career-high 13 homers and recorded 49 RBIs.
