"The Dodgers held the Angels to just two hits despite making a quick switch to a bullpen game in the wake of Blake Snell being placed on the injured list. The Dodgers have won three straight and are 27-18 on the season."
The Dodgers opened rivalry weekend with a 6-0 win over the Angels at Angel Stadium. Andy Pages hit a three-run home run and Max Muncy followed with another homer in the fourth inning to break a scoreless game. Teoscar Hernández added two runs in the sixth with an opposite-field home run after an errant sinker. The Angels managed only two hits, even after Blake Snell was placed on the injured list and the Dodgers used a bullpen game. Logan O’Hoppe stayed in after a pitch ricocheted off his left hand, then left in the sixth due to left wrist irritation. Shohei Ohtani walked, doubled, and struck out twice. Freddie Freeman sat out after receiving Friday off.
