Gavin Stone made his 2026 Cactus League debut on February 24 after missing the entire 2025 season recovering from complex right shoulder surgery that repaired his labrum, rotator cuff, and capsule. Following a bullpen session, Stone experienced discomfort prompting an MRI that revealed inflammation but no structural damage. Manager Dave Roberts announced a two-week throwing shutdown, effectively eliminating Stone from Opening Day consideration. With Blake Snell also unavailable, the Dodgers will construct their rotation from Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow, and combinations of Roki Sasaki, Emmet Sheehan, River Ryan, and Justin Wrobleski.
