In a podcast appearance, comedian Bill Hader shared a humorous anecdote from his time at South Park, detailing an odd movie pitch from David Lee Roth. The pitch involved Roth playing an assassin on a mission to retrieve his dog, drawing amusing comparisons to the existing film John Wick. Hader also noted how excited the South Park team was to meet Roth, who ultimately rejected their various creative suggestions, being more focused on his persona than collaborative efforts. Despite this, Hader praised Roth's pleasant demeanor and highlighted his admiration for the Van Halen band's talent and dynamic.
"When I worked at South Park, he pitched a movie to us where he was an assassin: 'It's about a guy trying to get his dog back,'" Hader told Conan.
"We were totally in awe. Oh my god, that's fucking David Lee Roth. And he did not disappoint at all. He was so sweet and nice, it was awesome."
