"Our little angel we love you forever & you're with us always,"
"Our beautiful daughter went to heaven Sunday October 26th. There are no words to describe the pain we're going through but we hold her in our hearts and cherish"
Alex Vesia was spotted at Camelback Ranch in early February, arriving more than a week before pitchers and catchers officially report. Vesia missed the 2025 World Series timeframe after a personal tragedy in October when his daughter Sterling died on October 26. The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays honored him by writing his jersey number on the side of their hats during the World Series. Vesia returned to throwing with teammates including Anthony Banda, Emmet Sheehan, Gavin Stone and Shohei Ohtani. Vesia is expected to resume a prominent middle-relief role and could challenge Tanner Scott for the setup job behind Edwin Diaz.
