Unified Patents seeks an experienced, registered patent attorney with at least five years of law firm or relevant USPTO experience, especially in ex parte reexamination and post-grant petitions (IPR, PGR, CBM). Strong technical background is required, with preference for experience in video codecs, coding, cryptography, compression, signals, wireless communications, or algorithmic subject matter. Responsibilities include managing and litigating patent office proceedings, drafting motions and briefs, supporting senior attorneys, docketing and e-filing, editing colleague work, and providing amicus and licensing support. Candidates must have patent registration and state bar passage, excellent English communication skills, and ability to work independently and in teams; DC preference with remote possible.
