Tribeca Goes All In With Docs On Gloria Steinem, Barbara Walters, and Andy Kaufman
Briefly

The Tribeca Film Festival, adjusted its schedule to distance itself from other major festivals, is making a significant mark with a robust lineup of 59 feature documentaries. The festival highlights pressing issues, particularly around identity and resilience, exemplified by films tackling gender-affirming care restrictions. Festival director Cara Cusumano has noted their strong ties to the local documentary community, with the event growing into North America's largest film festival, drawing over 150,000 attendees and showcasing a strong commitment to social justice through storytelling.

The documentary community is so heavily represented in New York. It helps to be the hometown festival for a lot of these great filmmakers.
