The Predator saga is experiencing a revival, with several new projects in the works, including two films set for 2025: the animated Predator: Killer of Killers and live-action Predator: Badlands. Although these films explore different time periods and characters, director Dan Trachtenberg has a cohesive plan to connect them. In Killer of Killers, characters from vastly different eras, including a Viking, a samurai, and a WWII pilot, find themselves on a planet where Predators hunt. Naru from Prey will make a return, raising questions about her fate in the upcoming films.
The animated film introduces three protagonists from vastly disparate periods in history: a Viking from the 9th century, a samurai from feudal Japan, and a pilot fighting in World War II.
Trachtenberg has plans to bring Prey's Naru back in a future film, as she is also trapped on this planet in suspended animation.
