The HellaFunny Olympics pits San Francisco and Oakland comedians against each other in a weekly joke-off competition. Teams representing each city trade jokes until one comic bombs and is eliminated, while individual comics remain as long as their jokes land. Semifinals feature top performers facing each other. The last comic standing wins a championship belt for their city and may earn residency at The Function Comedy Club. Shows run every Saturday at 10pm at The Function, 1414 Market Street, San Francisco, last about 70+ minutes with 15+ comics, and RSVP is recommended (normally $10).
