"Headliner: Pallavi Gunalan (Friday & Saturday - 7p + 9p) A biomedical engineer by day, stand-up comedian by night, Pallavi Gunalan is a stand-up comedian and writer who has written for Lovett or Leave It with Crooked Media, has been featured on Dropout TV, and produces Facial Recognition Comedy, a monthly stand-up show at The Comedy Store in LA. She most recently was featured in Big Pine Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest."
Hardly Strictly Comedy runs Friday, Oct 3 through Sunday, Oct 5 with multiple stand-up showcases, a late-night open mic, and happy hour performances. Free guestlist entry is available with RSVP; general admission at the door is $20-25. Shows take place at The Function, a Black-owned comedy club and lounge near Civic Center BART and Van Ness Muni for easy transit access. Friday and Saturday feature Pallavi Gunalan as headliner at 7:00pm and 9:00pm, plus a 10:00pm late-night open mic with happy hour. Sunday presents The Best of HellaFunny at 7:00pm and 8:30pm with happy hour during the later show. The venue offers a cozy upstairs lounge and a full bar serving cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails, with top Bay Area comics performing.
