Briefly

A new exhibition at Stockholm's Vrak - Museum of Wrecks, titled 'Vikings before the Vikings', challenges conventional Viking history by showcasing evidence of warrior expeditions before 793 AD. Highlighting the Salme ship burials in Estonia, which contained over 40 warriors, the exhibition aims to reshape our understanding of early Viking culture. The Salme discovery reveals insights into shipbuilding and warrior customs, marking a significant find in Viking archaeology. Set to open in Stockholm on April 11, 2025, it follows a record-breaking showcase in Estonia.
