Los Altos History Museum will host a program on Sept. 17, 5:30–7 p.m., examining architectural parallels between Sarah Winchester's San Jose estate and Isabel Merriman's Los Altos home. A 2017 Winchester Mystery House tour opened previously unseen areas including the north wing where a seven-story tower once stood before demolition after the 1906 earthquake. Admission is $15 general and free for museum members; registration required at losaltoshistory.org/SarahIsDreamHouses. Silicon Valley Clean Energy will issue a one-time $33 million automatic bill credit, roughly $50 for residential customers; nonresidential credits will be based on historic energy use and applied to upcoming PG&E bills for August electricity.
