Tickets Alert: UCL's 200th anniversary light show in central London
"UCL was founded on 11 February 1826, although it wasn't allowed to call itself a university for another decade, which means it's either England's third oldest university, or its fifth oldest - depending on which date you count from. Assuming you count from the first, there will be a 200th-anniversary sound-and-light show on its campus in central London next year. As evening falls, attendees will be transported back to the streets of London in 1826, where they'll watch the story of UCL's foundation."
"A display of light, music and animation, projected onto the historic Wilkins Building, will chronicle 200 years of UCL history, from a small community of intellectuals on the city's edge to the modern university it is today. After the light show, attendees will be invited into the newly renovated Wilkins Building and new exhibition about the university's 200 years of teaching and research. The light show will run from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th February 2026, and tickets are available from here."
