Thomas A. Lewis has been appointed as the new dean of Cornell University's Graduate School, effective August 1. Provost Kavita Bala announced the five-year appointment following a vote by the Cornell Board of Trustees Executive Committee. Lewis, who previously served as the dean of Brown University's Graduate School, will also maintain a role in the College of Arts and Sciences as a professor. He aims to further advance Cornell's commitment to academic excellence and work collaboratively across various units to support the success of graduate students.
