The district opened newly renovated cafeterias with ribbon-cutting events and estimates annual program costs at about $2.5 million, funded by local property taxes. The program served over 22,000 meals in its first two weeks and has increased cafeteria and coffee shop usage, addressing campus food needs amid broader food insecurity.
