Cornell University established a task force in February 2025 to combat sexual assault among undergraduates by targeting underlying social conditions. The task force conducted eight months of research and community conversations, including focus groups and consultations with experts and peer institutions. Key recommendations include improving communication about support and reporting resources, developing new courses and programming focused on sexual health and understanding, and enhancing students' physical safety. The initiative builds on over a decade of prevention and education work at Cornell. University leadership committed to fully supporting implementation of these actionable recommendations to foster a campus culture where students are protected, empowered, and informed about sexual violence prevention.
