
Students, parents and staff gathered at The Rose Hotel in Tralee for CBS The Green’s annual Awards Night. The evening recognised achievements across academic, sporting and extracurricular life, with special praise for students excelling in the Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations. CBS The Green was crowned All-Ireland ISTA Senior Science Quiz Champions 2026, with team members Ethan Ward, M.J. McCarthy and Pat Brosnan honoured for national recognition. Students were also recognised for the Stripe Young Scientist Awards, Scifest, drama and the arts. Sport featured prominently, with multiple titles including the Kerry Shield, O’Sullivan Cup, several regional cups, Southwest Basketball and the All-Ireland Minor A Basketball Cup. Individual awards included Sports Star of the Year, U19 Football Player of the Year, Senior U19 Hurling Player of the Year, the Donal Walsh Live Life Award and a School Spirit Award.

CBS The Green claimed titles including the Kerry Shield, O'Sullivan Cup, Corn Thomáis Mhic Chomáil Cup, Corn Uí Mhuirí Cup, Dunloe Cup, Southwest Basketball title and the All-Ireland Minor A Basketball Cup. Despite narrowly missing out on Hogan Cup and Paddy Buggy success, the school paid tribute to its senior footballers and hurlers for their commitment and resilience throughout the year."
"Among the individual awards, Jamie Quillinan was named 1st Year Sports Star of the Year after excelling in football, basketball and soccer. Máirtín McKivergan received the U19 Football Player of the Year award, while Cian Harris was named Senior U19 Hurling Player of the Year. One of the evening's most meaningful moments was the presentation of the Donal Walsh Live Life Award to sixth-year student Rae Moriarty, recognising resilience, compassion, leadership and positive impact within the school community."
