""We exist to serve our region by providing an excellent, accessible education that equips students to succeed in college, career, and life," Teniente-Matson said in a statement."
""This partnership ensures that students right here in our community have clear and supported pathways to higher education. By guaranteeing admission for CSU-eligible students, we are opening doors, expanding opportunities, and affirming that every student has a place at SJSU.""
San Jose State University launched Pathways to Success to create clear routes to four-year degrees for South County students. The initiative partners with Gilroy Unified and Morgan Hill Unified school districts and held events at Christopher High School and Live Oak High School. Guaranteed admission pathways and expanded dual enrollment enable students to earn college credits while still in high school. SJSU will provide workshops, college readiness events, and campus visits to support the transition to higher education. The program prioritizes historically underserved communities and aims to increase access, open doors, and expand opportunities for CSU-eligible students, affirming that eligible students have a place at SJSU.
